Human UV
Using hand cut stencils and an air brush, I created an abstract design on the models face, to make it bright and uniquely patterned. The briefing of this project was the word 'Sun'. I decided to explore the hidden world of UV light and capture its wonders.

Galaxy
I wanted to explore how UV paint reacted with water. This photoshoot tested this concept. The photoshoot is called 'Galaxy' because the speckles of uv paint created celestial imagery.

The photos were taken in a dark room in a sink. I added several layers of UV paint to the models hand. The photos I have chosen in the gallery show the passage of time as the paint began to flake off and dissipate.
Floral flow
This photoshoot took much preparation. The submerged flowers were all painted by myself and allowed to dry. Then using a paddling pool, I submerged the flowers. I allowed the paint to dry so that once in the water, it would gradually flake away, like in the UV hand photoshoot above. As the photos were taken outside, I had to wait for dark to allow the UV light to show. I used several UV torches attached to tripods, all directed over the flowers and distributing the UV light equally.
I was inspired by the film 'Avatar' when creating this scene. It's loosely based on the night scenes in the film where the plants glow in the dark. Most of the flowers I used were fake with a few real ones present to make the scene look more authentic. For the models look, I just sprayed some UV paint colours around her face as I did not want her face being the main focal point of the images. I wanted the flowers to still be the main part of the scene.
